about WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY
Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions couples ask me about my services, my process, pricing, and what to expect when we work together. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out directly.
Understanding Wedding Videography: What You Should Know
Sound design is the intentional layering of audio (ambient noise, natural sounds, intentional silence) that makes a wedding film feel immersive instead of flat.
In your film, that means you’ll hear the rustle of fabric as you walk down the aisle, the breeze through the trees during your ceremony, the clinking of glasses during toasts, even the quiet moments before you say your vows.
Most couples don’t consciously notice sound design, but they feel it. It’s what separates a good wedding video from a cinematic experience that pulls you back into the moment every time you watch. I include immersive sound design in every film I create: it’s not an add-on, it’s a core part of my approach.
A wedding trailer is a short, high-energy highlight (usually 1-3 minutes) that captures the essence of your day. Think of it like a movie trailer. It’s designed to be shareable, fast-paced, and emotionally immediate.
A wedding film is the full story (usually 10-15 minutes), with a complete narrative arc, refined pacing, and all the moments that matter woven together. The trailer gives you a quick emotional hit; the film gives you the complete experience. I deliver both with every wedding I film.

My Approach: How I Work with Couples
I work with a light touch. My approach is observational, not orchestrated. I’m there to document your day as it unfolds, not to direct it.
During the ceremony and intimate moments like your first dance, I’m discreet and stay out of the way.
During the reception when the energy picks up, I engage more: moving through the crowd, capturing the joy and chaos without being intrusive. I’ve been told I “disappear” during quiet moments and “blend in” during loud ones, which is exactly what I’m going for.
You’ll barely notice me during the ceremony, but you’ll feel my presence in the final film. That’s the goal.
I work with a second videographer, which gives us complete coverage of your day. One of us focuses on the bride’s perspective, the other on the groom’s. This dual approach means we can capture simultaneous moments (like you both getting ready, or your individual reactions during the ceremony) that would be impossible with just one camera. My collaborator also operates the drone (which is always included in my services). But here’s what’s important: I personally handle all the editing, color grading, and sound design. Your film isn’t outsourced or passed to an editor who doesn’t know your story. From start to finish, it’s my work, my narrative voice, my attention to detail.
I provide the edited film, both the trailer (1-3 minutes) and the full wedding film (10-15 minutes). I don’t provide raw footage for a few reasons: the editing, sound design, color grading, and pacing are what transform hours of clips into a cohesive, cinematic story. Raw footage is just material. The film is the art. That said, if you have a specific need (like an extended version of a particular moment), let’s talk about it. I’m open to creating additional edits if it makes sense for your story. Check my wedding videography services page.
Practical Details: Booking, Pricing & Delivery
I recommend booking 8-12 months in advance, especially if you’re planning a wedding during peak season (May-October in Italy). I limit myself to 25-30 weddings per year to ensure I can give each couple the time and attention they deserve, which means my calendar fills up quickly. That said, if your wedding is closer and my date is available, I’m happy to make it work. Reach out as soon as you know your date, and we’ll go from there.
There’s no single price because no two weddings are the same. Your investment depends on several factors: whether you need half-day or full-day coverage, whether your wedding is in Rome or requires multi-day travel to Tuscany or Lake Como, whether you want a pre-wedding session, and the overall scope of your celebration. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all packages because every couple has different priorities. Instead, I build each proposal around your specific wedding, so you invest in exactly what matters to you, nothing more and nothing less. After our discovery call, I’ll send you a detailed, transparent proposal with no hidden fees and no pressure. If you’d like a general sense of investment before we talk, feel free to reach out and I’ll give you a rough range based on what you’re planning.
Once we finalize your proposal and you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send a contract and invoice. You’ll secure your date with a deposit, and the remaining balance is due before or on the wedding day. The payment structure is clear in the proposal. No surprises, no hidden fees. I keep it transparent because I want you to feel confident in your investment.
You’ll receive your completed film six months after your wedding date. I know that sounds like a long time, but here’s why: editing a wedding film isn’t just cutting clips together. It’s crafting a narrative, refining the pacing, layering sound design, color grading every frame, and making sure the final film feels true to your day. I send updates throughout the editing process so you know where things stand, and I deliver digitally, both the trailer (1-3 minutes) and the full film (10-15 minutes). If you need the film sooner for a specific reason (anniversary, family event), let’s talk about it during booking. I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Services & Add-Ons: What’s Included & What’s Extra
Drone cinematography is always included in my services, it’s never an upsell. I believe aerial footage is essential for establishing the beauty of your venue and the surrounding landscape, especially for destination weddings in places like Tuscany, Lake Como, or the Amalfi Coast. My collaborator operates the drone while I focus on the ground-level storytelling. It’s part of the complete package.
Yes. A pre-wedding film is a standalone cinematic session, usually 1-2 hours of filming at a location of your choice. It can work as a save-the-date video or be integrated into your wedding film to create a more complete narrative. It’s a great way for us to work together before the big day, and it gives you a chance to get comfortable on camera. Pre-wedding sessions are one of my favorite additions because they add depth to the final story.
I love working with photographers. I’ve collaborated with dozens over the years, and a strong photographer-videographer dynamic makes the day smoother for everyone. My approach is discreet and reportage-style, which tends to complement most photographers’ workflows. If you’ve already booked a photographer, share their contact with me and I’ll coordinate with them before the wedding to make sure we’re aligned. If you’re looking for a photographer recommendation, I have trusted collaborators I can introduce you to who share my aesthetic and approach.
I’m based in Rome and work most frequently in Rome, Tuscany, and Lake Como. But I’m available for destination weddings throughout Italy, from the Amalfi Coast and Puglia to Sicily, Umbria, the Dolomites and beyond. Whether your wedding is at a well-known luxury venue or a hidden gem in a small village, I’m open to traveling. If your celebration is somewhere I haven’t filmed before, even better, I love discovering new locations. And if you’re planning a wedding outside Italy, reach out and we’ll discuss logistics.
