Marisol & Ivan — The Italian Weekend

Two days in Tuscany that were much more than just a wedding: they were a complete human experience.

Marisol and Ivan brought along their family members and closest friends, who were full of affection, smiles, and elegance. And from the very beginning, I felt something special: it wasn’t the formal atmosphere of a celebration, it was that of a dinner with friends, shared, warm, where everyone felt part of the same family.

Pizza, spaghetti and Italian tradition as a welcome

The first day was exactly what it should have been: an Italian pizza party. Tables decorated with tomatoes, spaghetti as decor, an air of a Friday evening with friends, informal, light, authentic. The clothes were casual, the laughter genuine, there was nothing performative.

It was the perfect way to begin a weekend: to put everyone at ease, to make guests feel as if they’d arrived home, not at an event.

The next day: elegance, vows, and the Tuscan landscape as witness

The following day, the same space was transformed. Everyone dressed up, elegant, aware of the moment about to arrive. Sincere and direct civil vows surrounded by the hills of Tuscany that served as a natural frame for every word.

It wasn’t a backdrop chosen casually. Monticchiello, Siena, Terre di Nano, a location that speaks for itself. Marisol and Ivan’s vows, their most intimate moments, were framed in what Tuscany has that’s most authentic: the hills, the air, the landscape that tells centuries of stories. Two people promising love to each other, surrounded by that beauty.

When bad weather becomes part of the story

The weekend wasn’t without challenges. Bad weather tried to make its presence felt. Yet everyone—Marisol, Ivan, the guests, the team—we all persevered. There was no panic, no drama. Just people deciding to move forward, to celebrate anyway, because what mattered was being together.

It’s in moments like these that you truly understand the character of a couple, of a group of people. And Marisol and Ivan? They faced it all with the same warmth, the same sweetness that characterized them throughout the weekend.

From the party to intimacy: the evening as a natural conclusion

The evening was pure energy. A trio of musicians accompanied the sweetest moments, and then the disco took over. Dancing among the olive trees, music filling Tuscany, movement and joy. It wasn’t chaotic, it was conscious vitality, the kind of celebration that arises naturally when the right people come together.

After the intimacy and emotion of the vows, the celebration was the natural completion: the moment when Marisol and Ivan could simply let go, surrounded by people who truly loved them.

When the right people meet

Monica from Adorolasbodas is the reason Marisol and Ivan entrusted me to tell their story.

Not only did she orchestrate every aspect of the weekend (from the pizza party to the ceremony details), but she also introduced me to this wonderful couple, believing we could tell together what was about to unfold.

It’s thanks to her dedication and her ability to bring together people who understand each other that this weekend had the warm, familial atmosphere that characterized it. A sincere thank you to Monica for making this experience possible.
